Education and Social service are like my two eyes. After completing 30 years of worthy service as a Teacher in different Kendriya Vidyayalaya including KV, Indian Embassy ,Moscow, took oluntary Retirement in 2015.The most prestigious Institution of India, KVS had crowned with several awards, including the highest National  Award for Teacher received from President of India in 2009.Served as a Dean for 4 years in a Private CBSE School.Totally 40 years in the field of education. I turned 60 years young. What next….?
A million Dollar question..!

Relax,  Read, Travel, Write, Watch good Movies, Outing with friends, enjoy the beauty and climate of my native Nilgiris, the Queen of hills and part time Social Work. Nothing worked. Finally what has happened is the best and blessed plan of my life .I chose Sarvalayam, an Integrated home for the Elders and Destitute Girls, situated at Vellakoil, Tiruppur District. I had known Mrs.Kala Kanagasabapathi, the Managing Trustee, a simple and fragile woman with the  iron & steel will power. Thanks to brother Marappanji for introducing her to me.

Smt.Kala stands as the embodiment of virtues, repository of immaculate kindness and fountain head of gentility and generosity. She has been treated by the people with utmost dignity , stupendous esteem and marvelous identity. She plays a multi-faceted role – a  mother to all irrespective of all age groups, a good friend, a philosopher , a counselor and guide. Her deeds are predominantly divine, socially a source of inspiration. She is a compendium of colossal endurance. She plays an influential role being an extraordinary human being in the society.

Sarvalayam is a beautiful campus enriched with serenity and positive vibration. It was started in 2013.The extinct birds and insects have their freedom here. Elders and girls are leading a healthy and peaceful life.I have been visiting Sarvalayam on and off in the past 8 years. Quite popular as the Master of Ceremony for their Annual functions.

Nominated by the Managing Trustee & Trustees, joined Sarvalayam as the Chief  Administrative Officer w.e.f  9th Sept 2019. Purely as voluntary service.  My decision of staying for 15 days in a month at Sarvalayam vanished in the air. Now almost settled here. Whole heartedly I enjoy serving in this place. Training and teaching the destitute girls with a dream of giving them an identity in  future. Working towards it. Hope to achieve  and turn my dream into reality. I am also reaching out to Government School students in and around Vellakoil. Let the downtrodden exploit the little knowledge I possess.

Sarvalayam has become my Sarvam ( Everything ). If being with Kala Amma is my destiny, I accept it as a true blessing.
